How to create Unavailable Period form

This form lives inside the Availability tab rather than as a separate page. It can create or edit a period. Fields are Title, From Date, To Date, and Select Time Option. Time option can be Any time (the whole day) or Between times (a start and end clock time). Save Period or Update Period stores it. Cancel closes the form. Each saved period can later be edited or deleted from the list.

  • Use Any time for a full-day block such as a vacation day.
  • Use Between times when the person is unavailable only for part of the day.
  • Unavailable periods override the weekly availability pattern for those dates.

Tips

  • Create roles before inviting staff so each new person starts with the right access instead of inheriting Admin.
  • Link staff to the items they actually run, then choose an assignment rule — auto-assign only considers people checked on Assign Items.
  • Prefer Set Inactive over Delete User if someone might return, so history and assignment links stay intact.
