How to what is inside the product side panel

The add or edit side panel includes the product name, SKU handling, price, stock, unlimited-stock behavior, status, description, pictures, where the product can be sold, item scoping, purchase-window rules, and out-of-stock behavior. These fields determine whether the product is active, where it appears, and when customers are allowed to buy it.

  • Name identifies the product in the catalog and checkout.
  • SKU can be managed automatically or manually.
  • Price sets the product's base price.
  • Stock can be finite or effectively unlimited depending on configuration.
  • Status controls whether the product is active or inactive.
  • Pictures let teams attach up to the supported image limit for visual merchandising.

Tips

  • Use the catalog table for quick status and stock review, then open the detail page when you need transactions or option-level inventory controls.
  • Use the side panel for general product setup and the Stock and Rates tab for advanced variant-based inventory.
  • If a product should disappear when unavailable, review both the out-of-stock behavior and the channel-specific hide settings together.
