Settings: visibility, order, ratings, deposits, and booking windows

Settings controls how the item appears publicly and how far in advance guests can book. Visibility is the switch that publishes the item to the booking site.

  • Visible on booking site must be on for guests to purchase the item online.
  • Remove duration from booking site and emails hides duration on slot-based items when you do not want guests to see a length.
  • Item order on booking site is a number. If two items share an order, the editor swaps them so the sequence stays unique.
  • Enable Ratings, then set star rating and out-of maximum when you want a rating to show with the item.
  • Checkout Payment Amount Options can let guests pay a deposit for this item (percentage or fixed), even when organization defaults differ.
  • Schedule Settings set minimum booking notice and how far ahead availability opens so last-minute or far-future bookings follow your rules.

Tips

  • Create the schedule and pricing before you turn on Visible on booking site, or guests will see an item they cannot actually book.
  • Use categories that match how you want the booking site to filter (tours vs classes vs rentals).
  • Override deposit only on items that need it; organization-wide deposit lives in Payment Settings → Payment Methods.
  • Keep public titles and photos guest-facing. Internal tags belong in Organization, not in the title.
