How to set reschedule and cancellation policies

On the Settings tab, Policies define whether guests can change or cancel without calling the desk, how much notice is required, and where the policy text appears. Fees for specific timeframes are configured in pricing settings; this section is the rule text and self-service switches.

Rescheduling and cancellation policies

  • Allow customers to reschedule without an account, and separately allow cancel without an account.
  • Minimum advance notice is a number plus day(s), week(s), or month(s) before the event. Notice fields are disabled until at least one self-service path is on (account or no-account).
  • Show the policy in terms and conditions, on the booking confirmation page, and in confirmation emails independently.
  • Title and Content are rich text. Write the language guests will actually read.
  • Self-service from a logged-in account is controlled on the Customer Accounts tab; these toggles are the no-account and policy-display side.

Tips

  • Save the tab you are on before switching tabs so formatting or identity edits are not left unsaved.
  • Set Primary Timezone and each location timezone before you publish availability.
  • Write reschedule and cancel policies in plain language, then enable the confirmation-page and email displays so guests see them before they book.
  • Generate a new calendar feed URL if an old link was shared too widely.
