How to track individual units

Click any asset row to open the individual unit tracking panel. This mode lets you represent each real-world unit separately, such as Boat 1, Boat 2, Kayak #7, or Room B. When unit tracking is enabled, the system expects you to add every unit up to the calculated maximum and then shows whether each unit is available or occupied.

  • Turn on Track individual units when staff need to know exactly which physical unit a booking should use.
  • Add units one by one with a name and a status of Active or Inactive.
  • Inactive units stay visible for operational context but should not be treated as usable inventory.
  • The panel shows the booking ID occupying a unit whenever one is currently in use.

Tips

  • Use quantity-based allocation for whole-resource usage and capacity-based allocation for seat or spot usage.
  • Turn on individual unit tracking only when the team truly needs unit-level operational visibility.
  • Use clear unit names that match your real-world labels so handoff at the venue is immediate.
