How to assign assets to items

Every asset can be linked to one or more items in the Assigned Items list. This is how the system knows which bookings should reduce that asset's availability. When you assign an item, the resource is synced into that item's asset configuration, and when you remove an assignment, the asset is removed from that item as well.

  • One asset can support multiple items if they share the same resource pool.
  • If two public experiences use the same physical room or vehicle pool, assign the same asset to both items.
  • Re-check assignments whenever you create a new item that should consume an existing resource.

Tips

  • Use quantity-based allocation for whole-resource usage and capacity-based allocation for seat or spot usage.
  • Turn on individual unit tracking only when the team truly needs unit-level operational visibility.
  • Use clear unit names that match your real-world labels so handoff at the venue is immediate.
