Abandoned bookings
How to what guests see on the booking site
When recovery is Active and opt-in is required, the booking form shows the consent checkbox with your label. After the guest fills the form and leaves unpaid, the cart is stored, then marked abandoned after the delay, then emailed after the recovery delay if they opted in (or if opt-in is off). Opening the email link returns them to the saved items if the basket has not expired.

- Progress is saved after the booking form is filled, not after merely browsing availability.
- If recovery is Inactive, no consent checkbox is shown and carts are not recovered through this workflow.
- Expired baskets can no longer be completed from the old recovery link.
Tips
- Start with a short abandonment delay and a recovery email within an hour while intent is still high.
- Require opt-in if you serve EU customers, and leave Keep checkbox automatically selected off.
- Use Send Reminder for large carts, and check Recovery History so you do not email the same guest repeatedly.
