Recovery Settings — Consent Settings (GDPR)

- Require customer opt-in On shows a checkbox on the booking form. Recovery emails go only to guests who check it.
- Require customer opt-in Off hides the checkbox and sends recovery emails to every guest who abandons after filling in the form.
- Checkbox label is the text shown next to that checkbox. The default is “Send me a link by email to my basket if I don't complete my booking.”
- Keep checkbox automatically selected pre-checks the opt-in for new sessions. This is not recommended for GDPR compliance.
- The consent checkbox is hidden on the booking form while recovery is Inactive, even if opt-in is configured.
Tips
- Start with a short abandonment delay and a recovery email within an hour while intent is still high.
- Require opt-in if you serve EU customers, and leave Keep checkbox automatically selected off.
- Use Send Reminder for large carts, and check Recovery History so you do not email the same guest repeatedly.
